It’s easy to see why this stunning residence and gallery won numerous state and national design awards. Construction repurposed a 19th century building, once a bakery then fire-station, into an artistically inspired home. Meticulous planning, specialised sourcing and layered strategies were employed to deliver a spectacular residence clad inside and out in zinc. Site access to an uneven inner city block together with the sheer size and scale of the design added to the complexity of the project. Krongold delivered a seamless build featuring vast sections of zinc clad walls including a pivoting blade wall that extends the width of the upper level roof terrace, pivot wedge doors, rotating dividers, zinc stairs and a bathroom completely wrapped in zinc.

It has been a real joy watching Krongold Construction bring our historic home back to life. Jon and his team were handed a very run down property, with every imaginable problem that comes with a house built 159 years ago but now, as construction comes to a close, we can only be amazed with
what has been achieved. The respect that Krongold have shown the property and the diligent, considered manner in which the build has been conducted is a credit to all involved and we thank Krongold for making this process so seamless.
